Removal of Carbamazepine onto Modified Zeolitic Tuff in Different Water Matrices: Batch and Continuous Flow Experiments

چکیده

Carbamazepine (CBZ) is the most frequently detected pharmaceutical residues in aquatic environments effluent by wastewater treatment plants. Batch and column experiments were conducted to evaluate removal of CBZ from ultra-pure water plant (WWTP) using raw zeolitic tuff (RZT) surfactant modified zeolite (SMZ). Point zero net charge (pHpzc), X-ray diffraction (XRD), fluorescence (XRF), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) investigated for adsorbents physiochemical changes resulted modification process Hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HDTMA-Br). XRD FTIR showed that RZT has created an amorphous surface with new alkyl groups on surface. The pHpzc was determined be approximately 7.9 SMZ. results indicated uptake SMZ higher than all sorption tests (>8 fold). capacity WWTP (0.029 0.25 mg/g) (0.018 0.14 ultrapure (1.6–1.8 equilibrium time matrix (47 h) much longer water. & (0.03, 0.33 (0.02 0.17 (1.5–2 fold) test. This study clearly demonstrated performance more efficient realistic It evident enhanced both matrices.

Mycotoxins Adsorption by Organomodified Natural Zeolitic Tuff

Zeolites are crystalline hydrated tektoalumosilicates consisting of a three-dimensional framework of SiO4 4and AlO4 5tetrahedra linked through shared oxygen atoms. The heulandite group of zeolites including clinoptilolite are the most abundant zeolites in nature 1, 2 . Clinoptilolite is used in a wide range of industrial and agricultural applications, particularly in animal nutrition. Dietary i...

Investigations of different kinetic models for zinc ions uptake by a natural zeolitic tuff.

The kinetics of uptake of zinc ions from aqueous solutions by natural zeolitic tuff has been investigated. Batch experiments at constant temperature and hydrodynamic conditions have been performed. A decrease in the initial zinc concentration in aqueous solutions prolongs the time needed for equilibrium. Various kinetic models including the film-diffusion model, the surface diffusion model and ...

Batch Removal of Acid Blue 292dye by Biosorption onto Lemna minor: Equilibrium and Kinetic Studies

Background; Recently, there has been a great concern about the consumption of dyes because of their toxicity, mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, and persistence in the aquatic environment. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the feasibility of using Lemna minor for Acid Blue 292 (AB292) dye removal from aqueous solution and to determine the optimal conditions. Methods; This experimen...
